MovaiQ Privacy Policy
Effective: 14 September 2026
MovaiQ is a GPS running coach that works, by design, with almost nothing about you stored anywhere but your own phone. This page explains exactly what the app touches, what — if anything — ever leaves your device, and why.
1. The short version
MovaiQ has no user accounts, no login, and no server-side database of who you are. Your runs, your training plan, and your history are stored locally on your phone using Apple's on-device storage. The only things MovaiQ ever sends off your device are, when you use a Pro coaching feature, a small, anonymous summary of your training and the text of the coach's spoken announcements (never your name, never raw GPS coordinates, never a recording of your voice), sent through MovaiQ's own coaching service — and, separately, whatever you choose to save into Apple Health, which Apple governs under its own privacy rules.
MovaiQ does not use advertising, does not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not sell or share your data with data brokers or advertisers. There is nothing in the app whose purpose is to identify you across other apps or websites.
The one exception outside the app is voluntary: if you enter your email address on the movaiq.com launch waitlist, we store that address so we can tell you when MovaiQ is released. See Section 6.
2. Data that stays on your device
The following is collected and processed entirely on your phone, and is never transmitted to MovaiQ:
- Location (GPS) — Stays on device
- Used to measure your route, distance, and pace while you run, including briefly in the background if your screen locks mid-run. Raw location coordinates are never sent to MovaiQ's servers.
- Motion & fitness sensors — Stays on device
- Step count and cadence, read from your phone's motion sensors, to complement your GPS-based run data.
- Microphone & speech — Stays on device
- If you ask MovaiQ a question by voice during a run, your speech is turned into text on your device (or via Apple's own speech recognition service — governed by Apple, not MovaiQ). The raw audio itself is never sent to MovaiQ.
- App settings — Stays on device
- Preferences such as language, units, and voice settings, stored locally on your phone.
3. Data that leaves your device
MovaiQ Pro's coaching features work by sending compact, de-identified data to MovaiQ's own coaching service, which asks Google's Gemini AI model to generate the coach's replies and Microsoft Azure AI Speech to turn the coach's words into a natural voice. This happens only while you use a Pro feature — during a run you've started, or when you ask the coach something — never when you aren't using MovaiQ.
- Training summary — Sent for AI coaching
- Figures such as your distance, pace, training goal, and a short summary of recent weeks — never your name, an account identifier, or raw GPS coordinates.
- Recovery signals (if you use a connected watch or sensor) — Sent for AI coaching
- If you grant access and a wearable device provides it, heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, or sleep duration from Apple Health may be summarized and included, to help the coach judge readiness.
- Voice questions (as text) — Sent for AI coaching
- The transcribed text of a question you ask mid-run, so the coach can answer it — the audio recording itself never leaves your device.
- Spoken announcement text — Sent for voice synthesis
- The words the Pro coach is about to say aloud during a run — for example your distance, pace, or the coach's reply — sent as plain text so a natural voice can read them. Audio that has already been generated is kept on your phone, so a repeated phrase isn't sent again.
This data is used only to generate the response or audio you asked for. MovaiQ does not maintain an account tied to it, and does not build an advertising or marketing profile from it.
4. What MovaiQ does not do
- No user accounts, sign-up, or login of any kind
- No advertising, and no third-party advertising SDKs
- No analytics or usage-tracking SDKs
- No crash-reporting SDKs
- No selling or sharing of your data with data brokers
- No cross-app or cross-website tracking
5. Third-party services we use
| Service | What it's for | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Apple HealthKit | Storing your workouts, and reading recovery signals if you allow it | Governed entirely by Apple's own privacy rules and your Health app permissions |
| Apple StoreKit | Processing MovaiQ Pro subscription payments | Your purchase is handled directly by Apple; MovaiQ never sees your payment details |
| Google Gemini API | Generating the AI coach's responses | The de-identified training summary described in Section 3, for the single request being answered |
| Microsoft Azure AI Speech | Turning the Pro coach's spoken announcements into a natural voice | The plain text of each announcement described in Section 3, for the single request being answered |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the small server that relays requests to Gemini and Azure AI Speech | Standard infrastructure-level request handling; MovaiQ does not use Cloudflare for advertising or analytics |
| Lovable (Cloud hosting) | Hosts the movaiq.com website and stores the launch waitlist database described in Section 6 | The email addresses submitted to the waitlist, and standard web-server request logs; Lovable is not used for advertising or analytics |
6. The launch waitlist on movaiq.com
The MovaiQ app itself has no accounts and asks for no email address. Separately from the app, the movaiq.com website offers an optional launch waitlist: if you choose to, you can leave your email address so we can tell you when MovaiQ is released on the App Store.
- What is collected
- Only your email address, a record that you agreed to receive launch updates, and the date you signed up. No name, no location, no running data, and nothing from the app.
- Why it is collected
- To send you a notification when MovaiQ launches on the App Store, and closely related launch updates. It is used for nothing else — no unrelated marketing, no advertising, no profiling, and it is never sold or shared with data brokers.
- Who runs the list
- We do — the addresses are stored in our own secured database hosted by Lovable Cloud. No third-party email marketing service (such as Mailchimp or Buttondown) is involved, and the addresses are not shared with one.
- Legal basis
- Your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- How long it is kept
- Until you ask us to remove it, or until the launch communication is finished — whichever comes first.
- How to unsubscribe
- Every launch email includes an unsubscribe option, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us at the address in the Contact section.
- Deletion and access
- Email daniel.konigsmann@outlook.com and ask us to delete your address, or to tell you what we hold. We will remove it from the waitlist.
Waitlist addresses are stored in a secured database that the website can only add to — the list cannot be read from the browser or by visitors. This section applies only to the movaiq.com website, not to the MovaiQ app.
The website itself uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is your language preference (English or Finnish), so the site opens in the language you last chose. That preference never leaves your device.
7. Your controls
Because MovaiQ keeps your data on your own device rather than in an account you'd need to ask us to close, most of your control already lives in your phone's own settings:
- Delete everything at once
- Deleting the MovaiQ app deletes your training history, coach profile, and settings from your device.
- Location, Health, Microphone, and Motion access
- Grant or revoke any of these any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security, or Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
- AI coaching features
- Pro's AI features are opt-in by nature: nothing is sent for AI coaching unless you actively use a feature that requires it.
- Launch waitlist
- Unsubscribe from launch updates, or ask us to delete your email address, at any time.
8. Children's privacy
MovaiQ is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us data through the AI coaching feature, contact us using the details below and we'll address it.
9. Changes to this policy
If MovaiQ's data practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top will change accordingly. Meaningful changes will also be reflected in the app's own release notes.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent directly to:
